The Grazyna Sobieraj Legacy Award has been created to honor the musical legacy of former music director, Grazyna Sobieraj, and inspire and support SCS students to continue their musical studies. The Legacy Award is modeled from one of Grazyna’s son’s Grade One drawings found in our archives, which illustrates a young child reaching for the stars.
The SCS Board of Directors has designated an annual award of $500 to subsidize the cost for one student to participate in Suzuki institutes and workshops.
A selection committee, comprised of the Principal and Artistic Director, will choose one successful applicant annually who embodies Grazyna’s passion for music and her dedication to lifelong learning based on the student’s written declaration and the recommendation of the student's individual music teacher.
